  2. “Language” is “The use by human beings of voice sound, and often written symbols representing these sounds, in organized combinations and patterns in order to express and communicate thoughts and feelings”

  3. 1 Timothy 6:3 “doctrine that accords with godliness” 2 Timothy 1:13 “pattern of sound words” WHOLESOME {SOUND} WORDS

  4. WHAT IS THE LANGUAGE OF ASHDOD? • Nehemiah 13:23 – mixed marriages • Nehemiah 13:24 – Children spoke language of Ashdod • They could not express the ideas of the Law of Moses as they should • They could not understand the Law • They lost the ideas of God and took up the ideas of idolatry

WHAT IS THE LANGUAGE OF ASHDOD TODAY? • “PASTOR” is used to describe men who are evangelists – Ephesians 4:11; Acts 20:28 • “REVEREND” used of mere men, while the Bible says it belongs ONLY to God- Psalm 111:9 • “SACREMENTS & MASS” for the Lord’s Supper – not found anywhere in the Bible • “SABBATH” used for the first day of the week – Luke 23:56-24:1; Mark 16:1,2; Revelation 1:10

WHAT IS THE LANGUAGE OF ASHDOD TODAY? • “JOIN THE CHURCH” for being add by the Lord to the church- Acts 2:47 • “MY & YOUR & OUR & THEIR CHURCH” for the Lord’s church- Matthew 16:18 • “MY / OUR DEMONINATION” the Lord’s church is not, nor had it ever been a denomination- Acts 20:28 • Various Religious Titles – Matthew 23:8-10 • “DEVOTIONALS” where do I find this in the Bible? KJV Acts 17:23 “devotions: or, gods that ye worship”

HOW SHOULD WE SPEAK? • 1 Peter 4:11 “as the oracles of God” • “Oracles” describe those who were inspired by the Holy Spirit to speak and record the Word of God as we now have it in the Bible.” • “Speak where the Bible speaks, remain silent where the Bible is silent, and do Bible things in Bible was, calling Bible things by Bible names.” • Titus 2:7,8
