    3. Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) is a partnership of organizations that work together and share resources to ensure effective disaster response and recovery through the “4 Cs”:

    5. What do VOAD members do? Members of VOAD provide a variety of services, which address the four phases of disaster:

Mission of Central TX VOAD The mission of CTXVOAD is to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by disaster, while eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort through cooperation. Among other things, CTXVOAD collaborates with government and other relief organizations, including Texas VOAD and the NVOAD, to achieve its mission.

    7. When Disaster Strikes

    8. Members of VOAD often get called to assist during a disaster. Partner organizations are able to provide much needed help to the community, such as shelter, food, water, clothing, counseling, as well as financial help. Some organizations also help with rescue and recovery operations.
