The Greening of North Carolina Network Vision: In order for business or industry to realize the full potential and benefits of a diverse, networked community, you need the vision and comprehensive knowledge of a guide. The Greening of North Carolina Network is an integrated environmental solution offering that combines outreach, awareness, referral, action plans, tracking, management review, and public recognition into one program. This environmental management system is offered to business or industry indiscriminant of size, product or location within North Carolina.

The Greening of North Carolina Network Mission & Objective Mission: The mission of the Greening of North Carolina Network is to inform and assist management in energy and environmental programs relating to buildings and processes that could have an effect on increasing corporate assets, improving competitive standings, and increase the livability of our State. Objective: The objective is not to interfere with the operations of any organization, but to inform business of tools that will assist in increasing assets, reducing greenhouse gasses and improving air quality.

Establish base year GHG emissions, 2. Project through long range plan of the city, 3. Advisory board establishes action plan, 4. City approves money & staff, 5. Implement plan in city owned buildings and provide support & guidance to constituents.

The Greening of North Carolina Network The Greening of North Carolina Network primarily offers services to small and medium-sized business that want to obtain and retain a state-of-the-art operation but has limited resources to invest in the capabilities that IES has to offer. We can assist. The Industries of the Future Program works with selected Larger Industries. These resources for economic development aid in Turning EE, PP, WM, & PI into a Corporate Asset.

  22. FUNDING The Greening of North Carolina Network • Initial funding has been through US Government programs like Climate Wise which was a industrial pilot program. Climate Wise has been upgraded to a sector of Energy Star. • US Government and NC Government have both been re-organized and funding methods and amounts drastically changed. • The Energy Star and ICLEI, CCP programs are on-going. • A funding base of many stakeholders is required to assure continued services of this Greening of North Carolina Network Program. • Each Allied Partner will be invited to assist in this support along with the companies that services are provided to. • The extent that the program reaches every county in N.C. depends on the level of support. Our objective is state-wide.
