Shutdown Planning Guidance • Intensity Reduce needed for the Shutdown work: None (at this time) • Start Date • July 8th Monday (in the tunnel) • HEP Beam off • July 6th at 0800 hrs. (Saturday) • Booster Studies may impact when beam goes off….. • July 7th Configuration control/rad surveys/convert to shutdown key sets • Following Enclosures Areas will be Re-cored for the duration of the shutdown: (at this time) • Booster, Main Injector,8 GeV Line, NuMI-65, target/pre-target, Muon Campus, F-sector, Transfer Hall, Enc B • Duration • ~12 weeks • Turning on Week of September 23rd • 1-2 Week of Start up/ Commissioning • During the Shutdown our 09:00 meetings will be held Tuesdays and Fridays. 17 Work days until the shutdown Presenter | Presentation Title or Meeting Title
Planning Stages • We will meet Once every two weeks • Between January - June • Planning Milestones • Kick off meeting -Completed • Set Major Jobs (end of Feb.)- Completed • Get T&M/Fixed price packets out by April ~95% Complete • Issues have already come up • Set Maintience tasks (end of May) ~95% complete • Determine Man Power Needs (mid may) ~95% complete • Set Service Building Outages (early June) ~65% complete • Completed by the Engineering building site prep • This also impacts our Controls work in the Computer Room • Resource leveled schedule – ~95% Complete C. Mech Crew • Initial Meeting Crews to outline work flow (process has started) • Crews will be reviewing/optimizing • Job Dose workplan • Job HA • And other permits that may be required • Electrical • Burn • Ect. • Review and optimizing • Preparing equipment needed • Staging equipment if needed and possible C. Finalizing our schedule • Hand full of jobs that still need to be scheduled • Main Injector/Recycler • Be7 issues • Understanding what will need to be able to work in some of these areas. • Water leak on MI202 Quad Completed • CUB work • Muon Campus Heat exchanger change out (2) • Effluent tank replacement • Updating the schedule with any work that may have been completed – In Progress • Power outage schedule impacts • Should be small impact C.
