  1. AN OVERVIEW OF LIPOEDEMA LIPOSUCTION

  2. An Overview of Lipoedema Liposuction • Lipoedemais a condition that occurs mainly in women with abnormal enlargement of legs and sometimes arms, causing leg pain and swelling. The condition can be hereditary, often beginning at puberty or during pregnancy.  • Lipedema Surgery in the UK or Liposuction is an effective option for adult lipoedema, and it is performed in stages as this helps reduce the potential risks and complications.  • An experienced surgeon will be able to remove up to 80% of the excess fat, and whilst this may seem like a lot, Lipoedema is more than being overweight, so there is always more fat than you may expect. • Lipoedema liposuction is a popular option for individuals looking to improve their legs' appearance. Lipoedema (the disorder which results in enlarged legs) often responds well to this procedure, but it does depend on how severe your symptoms are.

  3. What is Lipoedema Liposuction? • Lipoedema Liposuction, also known as Liposculpture, is a cosmetic procedure performed under general anaesthetic whereby larger volumes of fat cells are removed from the body.  • Liposuction for Lipedemais a specialized procedure that targets fat deposits on the upper and lower arms and legs. The condition is common in women and is often accompanied by weight gain. The procedure removes fat cells from the upper and lower arms, thighs, hips and buttocks. • The condition can limit movement and also affect self-esteem. Lipedema Surgery in the UK has been shown to reduce these fatty deposits, greatly improving appearance, mobility and self-confidence.

  4. What to Expect AfterLipedema Surgery in the UK? • The morning after your liposuction procedure, the surgeon will review your condition and instruct you about how to care for yourself at home. In most cases, bruising is minimal and does not require any treatment. The swelling will improve for six weeks or more as the body regenerates tissue. • You must wear compression bandages as prescribed by the surgeon to minimize the fluid build-up and promote healing. • You can expect to see an overall reduction of the affected limb, and with the compression garment on and swelling going down, the shape of your limb will become more rounded. You can also expect to feel lighter and freer following liposuction surgery.  • You may expect to spend a few hours in the recovery room after their surgery. There may be a drain placed underneath the skin's surface to help remove excess fluids, and you will be given painkillers and antibiotics to help alleviate discomfort.

  5. Final Words • Lipoedema is a condition that affects many women. It is especially noticeable in women with abnormal fat deposits in the legs, hips, buttocks and sometimes the arms. 90% of patients are women, usually slim elsewhere but with very large thighs and ankles. Another feature is that areas affected by lipoedema tend to bruise easily because of dilated blood vessels in the skin. • Lipedema Surgery in the UK is not just a means of removing excess fat from the body but also contouring these areas.
