  1. Student Data Review Title VII Indian Education Parent Meeting March 4, 2013

Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests (OCCT’s): • Are administered to students in Grades 3-8. • Are administered every Spring. • Assess students’ mastery of our State Standards in Reading and Math. • At some grade levels additional content knowledge is also assessed (eg: Writing at 5th and 8th grades, Geography at 7th Grade, History and Science at 8th Grade).

  3. End-of-Instruction (EOI) Tests: • Administered to 9th-12th Graders • Administered for the following subjects: Algebra I & II, Geometry, English II & III, Biology, & US History. • Mustpass the Algebra I and English II EOI and any two other EOI’s to receive a High School Diploma

  4. We will explore: • Reading and Math Data for American Indian students in Grades 3-8 (Reading and Math scores are used to determine growth on our district A-F Report. • EOI Data for American Indian students for Algebra I & II, Geometry, Biology, English II & III, & US History. • How American Indian students’ performance compares across the district.

  12. Intervention Programs • Reading and Math tutoring at the Elementary and Secondary level based on assessment data • Content-based intervention in Algebra concepts at the Mid-High

  13. District-wide instructional focus: • District-wide reading and math formative benchmarks to be implemented 3 times per year beginning 2013-14 • Grades 3-12 literacy (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) professional development for classroom teachers and administrators http://www.smartstepliteracylab.org/
