My teaching philosophy
  • I aim to provide a safe, respectful, nurturing environment for students to explore new knowledge and develop their thinking processes. To achieve this I will be a positive role model, a mentor, and a guide for my students. I will always show respect for student input and model appropriate attitudes to learning and to achievement. I will use all the resources available to me to provide engaging, inquiry based material for my students to take manageable risks in their journey through their school life.

In 2008 our team of PST’s was given the opportunity to work with a school on sustainability education. The school entered a local competition, to win an outdoor kitchen and vegetable garden. We assisted the kids to create a PowerPoint presentation, and a 3D Poster for their entry. To engage the whole school, we introduced the idea of healthy eating and sustainable vegetable gardens, in some novel ways.
