  3. It’s all about knowing first. The games are presented live, so the expectation of news is that it is distributed as soon as possible to the public. With basketball, it’s news is sometimes anticipated, for example the outcome of a game, or whether or not trade or player signing rumors have eventuated. This means that there are dedicated researchers that try to break the news first, to the point where news is reported before it is even completed.

An International Audience • We have access to coverage via Television, Internet and Radio. • However in Australia our access via TV is greatly limited compared to USA. • ESPN via pay TV • One HD • Access Via Web –http://ilp.nba.com/ Miss out on the analysis TV programs. Therefore a reliance on the internet is needed for comprehensive coverage.

Radio access is freely provided over the web and will often include player interviews, but listening to a game is an entirely different experience. • Basketball news is being incorporated into many media facets with media outlets trying to establish coverage to mass audiences, but for the fanatic, knowing what your missing out on leaves you bitterly disappointed.
