  2. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners/Custodians who have walked and cared for this land for thousands of years and their descendants who maintain these spiritual connections and traditions. Let us observe a minute of silence to reflect on the millions of footprints that travelled the dreaming pathways and our own loved ones who have gone before us

  3. Brothers and Sisters Come Together Across the World

  4. Brother, Sister let me serve you,Let me be as Christ to you.Pray that I might have the grace, To let you be my servant too. Marian Shehwaro, mother of Syrian blogger Marcell Shehwaro, killed June 18 2012

  5. “When you hold a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors, in case they may invite you back and you have repayment. I Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” (Lk 14.12-14) Jesus

  6. We are pilgrims on a journey,We are family on the way.We are here to help each other, Love and listen every day

  7. L'Arche is deeply concerned with the distress of people who suffer injustice and rejection because they have learning disabilities. This concern should impel the Communities of L'Arche to do all they can to defend the rights of people with learning disabilities, to support the creation of places of welcome for them, and to call on our society to become more just and respectful towards them. The Communities of L'Arche want to be in solidarity with the poor of the world, and with all those who take part in the struggle for justice.

  8. I will hold the Christ-light for you,in the night-time of your fear.I will hold my hand out to you, speak the peace you long to hear.

  9. Jean Vanier in Bethlehem: April 2012 Dear Friends, I am in a small monastery of the Greek Catholic rite here in Bethlehem, where there are just 7 contemplative sisters, two of whom used to be at L’Arche. The wall which separates Palestine and Israel crosses through the monastery garden; it is the wall of fear, the wall of hate, a symbol of all the walls which surround our own hearts. L’Arche, here as elsewhere, wants to be a sign of unity and of peace with people of different religions. The peace and unity wells up from the joyful presence of those who are the weakest in our societies,. who draw us together and call us to appreciate and love each other

  10. I will weep when you are weeping, when you laugh I'll laugh with you.I will share your joy and sorrow, till we've seen this journey through

  11. God, you call us into L’Arche You invite us to give life You are with us in calm and troubled waters Be our hope As we continue this journey together

  12. We have travelled We have eaten We have prayed Now let us greet each other with a word of WELCOME as we begin our community weekend together!!!

  13. Welcome to our time together,Welcome to this sacred space. As we look towards each other,May we see God’s loving face.
