  3. general faculty perceptions of educational research Based on informal survey with faculty in a Research I college of education.

  4. our starting point: educators, policy makers & researchers must collaborate to transform & improve schooling

  5. there are three key gaps that we need to address:

  6. trust/ responsibility gap

  7. ethical/ practical gap

  8. imagination/pedagogical gap

  9. Americans continue to assign higher grades to their local schools but far lower grades to the nation’s schools in general PDK/Gallup 2014 Poll on Public Attitudes Toward Public Schools

  10. We already have good stories!

  11. In groups of 4 please share with your neighbors something good that is happening in your school. What are your good stories?

  12. On the poster, write your ideas about what will take your good story something great (i.e. something your colleagues could use) How can we move from good-to-great?
