  • It is the smallest planet we know.

  • The planet was named after the roman goddess of love and beauty.
  • It orbits earth for 224.7 days.
  • The planet is 67 million miles away from the sun.

  • Earth is the only planet that contains life and is the only planet that can support life.
  • Earth formed 4.54 billion years ago.
  • Life first appeared on earth 1 billion years ago.
  • This planet and the life it supports has suffered numerous of mass extinctions, The worst mass extinction happened at the end of the permian period it’s nicked name “the great dying” wiping out 96% of marine life, 70% of vertebrae's, and it’s the only known mass extinction of insects.
