  3. Workshop aim & objectives • Define what is meant by pressure, stress, well-being & work:life balance

  4. Workshop aim & objectives • Describe in broad terms the physical and mental consequences of excessive, prolonged stress - the human biology of stress

  5. Workshop aim & objectives • Explain how our own behavioural traits can contribute to stress in ourselves and others

  6. Workshop aim & objectives • Describe key steps to take when we feel stressed

  7. Workshop aim & objectives • Define the six standards identified by the HSE and their relevance to a manager’s role

  8. Workshop aim & objectives • Describe the four HSE, CIPD & IiP Stress Management Competences and how these can help to adapt management behaviour

  9. Workshop aim & objectives • Develop a two-part action plan to reduce the likelihood of stress occurring and the impact that it can have should it occur
