  2. PR80027_01 Project Update - Overview Delivery of PR80027_01 Advanced Metering – Interim Settlement Solution includes: • The creation of a new usage data loading process for ERCOT to receive15-minute interval data from advanced meters; • Ability for Market to receive interval data from ERCOT using dynamic extracts (web services); • Ability to settle distributed generation received from advanced meters; and, • Changes to ERCOT's IT infrastructure and storage in order to accommodate the significant increase in 15-minute data used in settlements.

  3. PR80027 Project Update – Progress

  4. PR80027 Project Update – Key Project Assumptions TDSPs will send 1 and only 1 LSE file per zip file. Advanced Metering LSE interval data files will contain a maximum of 50k transactions. A transaction is comprised of a single day of interval data reads – 96 reads (92 or 100 if changing to or from DST). This project will not change how Non-Opt In Entities (NOIEs) submit interval data to ERCOT. This project will not change how TDSPs/MREs submit interval data for BUSIDRRQ ESIIDs. Provisioned advanced meters will be assigned a weather-sensitive IDR load profile. All usage data received is based on the central time zone.

  5. PR80027_01 Project Risks Known risks in executing the project: • Possible schedule delays should key contract or ERCOT resources be pulled from the project. • Mitigation: All required contractors identified and engaged. Resource efforts are continually monitored and any issues are addressed immediately with the resource manager. • Possible schedule delays if adequate storage, power and space is not available by go-live to support increased data volumes. • Mitigation: Working closely and continually with infrastructure team to ensure necessary storage, power and space if available to support project throughout development, at go-live and on-going. • Possible schedule delays due to competing with Nodal integration testing for limited iTest environments • Mitigation: Detailed coordination steps are being identified and refined to ensure that all parties are aware of competing activities, etc.

  6. PR80027 Project Update – Market Testing • Scope of Market Testing: • TDSP submits Advanced Metering LSE interval data file submission and ERCOT returns a file-level acknowledgement • Target Dates for Market Testing: • October 19 – November 6, 2009 • Next Steps: • As the project progresses through development activities and the detailed ERCOT testing schedule is refined, coordination activities will be scheduled with the TDSPs. • Discussions with TDSPs targeted for July/August.
