  32. Proposal for Cook-cum-helper engaged in MDM Scheme • 53411CCH not Engaged. • State has proposed to reduce CCH from 434032 to 4,22,034 CCH Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

  33. Proposal for Construction of Kitchen-cum-Store • State is not providing kitchen to Govt. Aided Schools. • Total requirement for kitchen for Govt. and Localbody Schools comes out to be 38955. • Districts have submitted Non-Availability of land for kitchen construction for 11591 Schools. State is having Rs. 12741.18 Lakh as Central Assistance for kitchen construction out of which 21641 kitchen will be constructed. • Hence actual requirement of kitchen comes out to be 5723=(38955-11591-21641). CHITRAKOOTAURAIYA, AGRA,ETAH,RAMABAINAGARRamabainagar.Moradabad,Bulandshahar,Pilibhit,Rampur • Hot Cooked meat was not served regularly in 3 primary schools in Ramabainagar. • Cooking cost was not received regularly in Rajpur Block. • Cooks were not sufficient in 2 Primary Schools. • In Moradabad in PS Imratpur MDM is irregular because raw material is not provided by Pradhan. • The food stock of one month is not available at the schools in Moradabad in In 1 (4.76%) PS & 8 (50%) UPS Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

  37. ISSUES • Monthly payment to the cooks was irregular in 6 (23%) primary schools in Chitrkutoot ,Auriya • Kitchen-cum store Kitchen-cum-store were not sanctioned in 4 (15%) primary schools& 7 (63%) in Chitrakoot, 5 (33%) upper primary schools in Auraiya, 4 (16%) primary schools and for 5 (42%) upper primary schools in Etah, 5 (36%) upper primary schools in Ramabainagar Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

  38. Contd… • Kitchen utensils for cooking food were not available in Kanya UPS Patiyaligate, Etahcity, Ramabainagar. • Micro-nutrients and deworming medicines were not given to the children of any sampled school. • In Chitrakut, Agra, Etah, the children reported that meal was not tasteful as spices and oil of good quality were not used and children are not satisfied with the quantity of meal in Agra ,Etah, Ramabainagar.

  39. ISSUES • Rs87.25 Crores central assistance sanctioned for Kitchen –cum- Stores is to be refunded by the state to GOI because state Govt. constructed 27275 Kitchen-cum-store against the sanction of 38876 Kitchen-Cum-store. The unit cost was also less (Rs.78500 per unit against sanctioned amount of Rs.85,000 per unit) • ATN not submitted on Monitoring Institutes reports. • Poor performance against the enrolment in Shrawasti and Mau (38%) only. • Poor school health programme.   40. The MDM Logo should be Widely Publicized. It may be Painted at prominent Places on the outside wall of the school. Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India
