  1. Just Remember July 21, 2013

  2. Numbers 12:6 New King James Version (NKJV) 6 Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.

  3. In the book of Numbers 12: 6, it shows us how God used visions and dreams to communicate. This does not mean that God does not use the means today. In the Old & New Testament, the prophet or the messenger was allowed to peer into divine things or into heaven to witness scenes that determine future events and explained by an angelic interpreter.

  4. Visions for Gods leaders is formulating a plan for the future, based on God’s Word by having an encounter with God. It is where God shows Himself or shows the leader by imparting special revelation for a special purpose. And when a leader of God is in tune with the revelation of God, there will be no wavering.

  5. Ezekiel, a book called “The Visions of God”, Visions of God’s Glory, visions of His holiness, and visions of His presence. Cried out one day, “Woe to me! I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King."

  6. Daniel, a book of visions said, “I was the only one who saw the vision, but the men who were with me, didn’t see it, but they were overwhelmed by what was happening to me.”

  7. John was given a vision that inspired the book of Revelation. A book that points out the things that must take place. John opens up and says, “I was in the spirit on the Lords day, when I was given the instruction to write what I saw.”

  8. Then Solomon, in Proverbs writes, “ Where there is no vision, the people The people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.” Solomon is referring to a prophetic vision, a vision that is lacking God’s will, will jeopardize the blessings of God. But the one who receives the revelation (from God’s Word) will be blessed.

  9. That is why the role of the prophet and the role of the messenger of God (the current day preacher) is so important. Their role is to proclaim the Word Of God, speak with truth and break the complacency in the people’s lives.

  10. They are to get the people to apply the Word of God in trouble and joyous times, to have that Word inspire and rekindle their imagination of what a blessing to serve a mighty God.

  11. The phrase “Cast off restraints” is referring to casting down complacency, being numb to the Word of God, and being mediocre in their lives with the Word of God.

  12. When you don’t have a clear vision of the Word of God and see it working in your life, then you will descend into mediocrity and be bored in your spiritual growth.

  13. If you are bored coming into the church building, you were bored when you left…
