It is our prayer that you find a church and fellowship where you can be taught the Word of God and obtain a revelation of the price Jesus Christ paid for your salvation. 5. From The Baptist Standard DALLAS—Last year, Texas Baptists baptized nearly 42,000 people. More than 4,000 of them had their boots on. About 125 cowboy churches are affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. They make up about 2 percent of BGCT congregations, but they performed roughly 10 percent of the baptisms last year. “We’re reaching people who are not phony, who are not putting on an act, who are not hiding who they are,” he (Charles Higgs, BGCT director of western-heritage ministries, awl) said. “They are beer drinkers. They’re good people. But they’re just not fitting the lifestyle of most churches.” http://www.baptiststandard.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=8118&Itemid=53

  6. Origins Mt 4:19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." "Son, where do these people go to church?" "These people don't go to church anywhere, Dad." With those words, the vision of Cowboy Church was born. A place where Cowboys and Cowgirls could go to church without apology and without throwing away their heritage. The Cowboy Church of Ellis County exists first and foremost to reach western culture people for Jesus Christ. Toward that end, we offer a number of fellowship and ministry opportunities geared specifically to Cowboys and Cowgirls. http://www.cowboychurchofelliscounty.org/ministries/arena/
