  3. Living the Stripes(Courage) One time when he was a fire fighter, he injured himself saving a boy hiding under his bed. He had to go to the hospital because he had smoke in his lungs. He always looked under beds because children hid under their beds when they’re scared.

  4. Becoming a Firefighter At first he worked for my uncle. But he died. The boss was named L.C. Smith and he became friends with Milton and L.C. Smith asked what Milton would do with his life. And he said that he wanted to be a firefighter. So L.C. Smith helped him.

  5. Meeting a Famous Singer • In 1938 I went to NYC to meet the famous singer Kate Smith ho made the song God Bless America. • I made a play about a injured firefighter for her show. • Her team liked the play and put it on her show. • I was in the news paper with Kate, my wife and, Le Famchek, the firefighter.

  6. Hobbies My hobby is keeping scrapbooks about Syracuse NY.

  7. Motto My great, great grandfather believed in working hard to be successful. Hard work always pays off.
