  2. What is an impromptu speech? • An impromptu speech is given with little or no preparation. You might not be aware of it, but you are giving mini impromptu speeches every day! Every time someone asks you a question you weren’t expecting, your answer is an off-the-cuff speech. • Typical situations in which you’ll find yourself giving an impromptu speech include: • Job interviews • Q&A sessions • Meeting someone new • Networking opportunities • First dates

  3. P.R.E.P. • Point • Reason • Example • Point

  4. Issue, Pros vs. Cons, Conclusion • Present the issue and then discuss the benefits and drawbacks of the issue. Then simply wrap up with your reccomendation.

  5. 5W • Address the who, what, when, where, why, and how. It helps to let the “why” come last and then this opens the floor for a Q&A session if needed.
