  3. FMCSA Mission: Reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities involving large trucks and buses.

  4. FMCSA GOAL Reducing CMV crash fatalities to 1.65 fatalities per 100 million miles of truck travel by 2008. ENFORCEMENT PARTNERSHIP EDUCATION OUTREACH REDUCED TRUCK CRASHES RESEARCH TECHNOLOGY

Enforcement/Partnership/Education/Outreach Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) Demonstration program for high-visibility enforcement Through a partnership between the Washington State Patrol and the Washington Trucking Association, troopers ride in volunteer trucks. If unsafe driver behavior is observed, it is then radioed to waiting patrol cars to stop and ticket violators. BOTH TRUCK AND CAR DRIVERS!
