The Gemstone Universe ======================================= Gemstones are minerals found below the surface of earth, what makes them valuable is their use in day to day activities in human lives. Each gemstone is associated with a planet’s energies and radiations and is said to impact the effect of planets on human lives. Not only this, gemstones are also used for aesthetic purposes. This is the second main use of gemstones after astrological benefits, they are wore by people in social gatherings and events and represent a symbol of class and standard in todays society. The Gemstone Universe consists of many gemstones, some of them are: Emerald, Yellow Sapphire, Diamond, Red Coral, Star Ruby, Pink Sapphire, Green Sapphire, Blue Sapphire, Tourmaline, Opal etc. Out of these gemstones, 9 stones are considered the most auspicious in context to the effects. These stones are known by many names such as Nine Gems, Navaratnas, Navratnas, Nauratnas etc. These nine stones are considered sacred and special in the text and scriptures that date back to the Vedic Period- Ancient Era.
