  2. Overview When a blood vessel in the brain bleeds, brain stroke occurs. According to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), brain stroke is one of the leading causes of death across the United States. More than 795,000 people in the United States reported stroke every year. Without proper oxygen, tissue and brain cells have become damaged. Besides this, brain stroke can occur during cardiovascular procedures. However, in order to prevent brain, doctors use embolic protection devices during TAVR.

  6. Medications This may be surprising but there are some medicines that can increase the risk of brain stroke. For example, blood thinning drugs can increase the risk brain stroke.

  7. Alcohol Consumption Too much consumption of alcohol may increase the risk of brain stroke. Thus, you should consume alcohol in moderation.

  8. Inactivity Lack of physical activity can also increase the risk of stroke. Thus, it’s important to do exercise regularly. There are so many benefits of doing regular exercise.
