  2. An Overview Clearly, the brain is the control center of the human body. In fact, it is the most important part of the nervous system, which involves a large network of neurons, nerves, and the spinal cord. Well, the nervous system controls all your senses throughout your body. A damaged brain affects so many things including your personality, memory, and your sensations. There can be many reasons behind brain damage and cardiac procedures are the most common. Do you know, cardiac procedures can lead to brain stroke? Well, in order to curb the risk of brain stroke, doctors usecerebral protection devices during cardiovascular procedures. 2

  4. Brain injuries Usually, brain injuries are the result of blunt trauma. This trauma can damage nerves, neurons, and brain tissues. In fact, this nervous system damage your senses. Some of the brain injuries are blood clots, concussions, strokes, cerebral edema or swelling inside the skull, memory loss, hematomas, and more. Depending on the type of brain injury doctors provide a treatment which includes rehabilitation, medication, or surgery.

  5. Brain Tumors The brain tumor is an extremely dangerous condition. Brain tumors are of two types: benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Doctors indicate brain tumors in four stages – 1,2,3 and 4. Well, anyone can develop a brain tumor. Some of the common symptoms of brain tumors are seizures, headaches, vomiting, nausea, changes in personality, changes in your hearing, speech, or vision, difficulty with movement, and more.

  6. Neurodegenerative Diseases Neurodegenerative diseases can destroy your complete nervous system. Some common neurodegenerative diseases are Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, memory loss, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), or Lou Gehrig’s disease, dementia, and more. These diseases can permanently damage your brain. Sadly, there is no cure for neurodegenerative diseases. But, good treatment can help.
