  2. Purpose of Document • Discusses in detail signaling dialog/session reuse for sidebars • Reuse recommended • Detailed sidebar requirements for XCON/SIPPING • For inclusion in XCON/SIPPING requirements documents. • Call flows showing how SIP, CPCP, and the Conference Package work together to implement sidebars draft-rosen-xcon-conf-sidebars-01.txt

  3. Sidebar Requirements • Many sidebar requirements are similar to main conference, and are already covered by CPCP and SIP. • Identified missing requirements: • REQ-7 Accept or decline an invitation to a sidebar. • REQ-9 Switch attention back and forth between the sidebar and the main conference. • REQ-11 Leave the sidebar and return to the main conference. draft-rosen-xcon-conf-sidebars-01.txt

  4. Proposal for Missing Requirements • Meet these requirements in CPCP • Already has mechanisms to create, delete, add participants, delete participants • Alternative is a SIP re-INVITE • Some SDP attribute indicating a media stream should be/is currently in a sidebar. draft-rosen-xcon-conf-sidebars-01.txt
