Not for profit CIC set up in 2010 • Delivers multi-sport & healthy living activities including Park Active funded by the Big Lottery • Delivers EmployActive, employability, leadership & work placement programmes in partnership with JobcentrePlus • Designs, co-ordinates & delivers community playing fields and open space regeneration programmes

BACKGROUND CONCLUSIONS • Short fall of senior & junior cricket pitches • Good level of football provision but need to address demand for 9v9 • Council wants to offer wide range of sports for adults & children to increase participation and to improve opportunities for disability participants • Facilitate access to local schools • Deliver programme that promotes community interaction, health & well-being • Proposal for inclusive play facilities • Government failure to deliver Olympic legacy and inspire next generation of young people to get involved • Opportunity for Greenwich to create Paralympic legacy

OVERALL RECOMMENDATIONS • Develop site as Healthy Lifestyle & Community Centre working in partnership with local community • Focus on inclusive educational and community sporting & • recreational use • Create a centre of excellence for school PE & sport • A centre for junior cricket excellence • A centre for disability sport & children's play in Greenwich • Training & employment opportunities for young people in sports ground management/maintenance & catering
