LEAVING YOUR PRINT HEAD OPEN TO THE ELEMENTS CAN CAUSE CLOGS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO CLEAR AND MAY NECESSITATE REPLACEMENT. HOW TO CHANGE INK CARTRIDGE ON EPSON WORKFORCE 500? • Follow the below steps to change the ink cartridge on Epson Workforce 500:   • Use the power button to turn on your printer. • If you already have empty cartridges, your LCD screen will display a message indicating which ones need to be replaced. Press "PROCEED" and follow the on-screen instructions. • To access the ink cartridges, lift up the scanning unit. • Before removing the cartridges, wait for the printhead to stop moving. • While the replacement cartridge is still sealed, gently shake it up and down four or five times. • Take it out of the plastic bag. • Remove the cartridge's yellow sealing tape. • Insert the cartridge into the carriage straight down until it clicks.  • Cover the cartridge with the cover. To ensure that the cartridge is properly installed, select "CHECK" on the LCD panel. If this is the case, close the scanner cover. • Your printer will begin priming the new cartridge automatically. It should only take a few minutes to prime. When you're done, your LCD screen will display a message stating that your printer is ready to print!
