  3. Defence policy • Managed under DPI 6/2004 – Procedures for the provision of Assistive Technical Office Equipment for the Department of defence employees with disabilities • Funds equipment for employees with disabilities

  4. Exclusions • OH&S equipment • equipment required for business need • compensable injuries • ADF

  5. Inclusions • Hardware • Desktop and handheld magnifiers • Text Type (TTY) telephones • Specialist telephone headsets • Software • Job Access With Speech – Vision and learning disabilities • Dragon Natural Speaking – Mobility of hands, arms or shoulder • ZoomText – Vision impairments

  6. Process • Occupational Assessment conducted • Complete Webform AC880 • Submit AC880 and occupational assessment to DATP Coordinator • DATP Delegate assesses request • If approved, DATP Coordinator will purchase equipment
