  1. How to Change Your Air Filter An instructional how-to on changing the air filter in your apartment. *Please contact the office if you prefer to have maintenance do this for you.

  2. Step 1 Locate your air conditioner panel inside your apartment.

  3. Step 2 Remove the two screws securing the panel onto the unit. Remove the panel.

  4. Step 3 Remove dirty air filter.

  5. Step 4 Determine the size of filter you will need. One Bedrooms-14X18X1 Two & Three bedrooms- 16X18X1

  6. Step 5 (Two & Three bedroom AC unit) Replace the filter. Make sure the arrow on the side of the filter is pointing towards the AC unit. (One bedroom AC unit)

  7. Step 6 Replace panel & secure with original screws. Two & three bedroom apartments will need to secure the filter first by returning the metal piece holding filter in place.

  8. FAQ’s How often do I need to change my AC filter? -At least every 3-4 weeks. What can I benefit from changing my AC filter regularly? -Lower electric bills, less maintenance issues, improved air quality in apartment, reduce carbon footprint by using less energy Where can I dispose of old filters? -Toss them in your nearest dumpster! Where can I get new filters? -Stop by the office during business hours and receive free air filters to fit your specific AC unit.
