Rules & Policies Attendance Consequences Verbal Warning Meeting with DOM leaders Revocation of Membership • You must attend all meetings, workshops, fundraisers that you are a part of, training sessions, and social events unless otherwise noticed or excused due to illness. If you are absent you must inform the Department of Management of your reason and then must take the responsibility of completing all tasks assigned to you once you come back. Unexcused absences or tardiness will result in revocation of membership.

Warning and Reminder Warning Reminder Hand them in when we meet in live next time Get them signed Member Consent, Social Events Consent, Emergency Contact, and Rules and Policies Agreement SIGN THEM YOURSELVES TOO! • You MUST MUSTMUST inform me of the matter beforehand or of the situation you are in or else I will consider it an unexcused absence • If you are absent more than 10% of the meetings we hold for the month, your membership will be revoked. Unfortunately, we might have to look for more members who are interested in and have the time to do community service and hard work.

We are a group of young Muslim females striving hard to fight back stereotypes spread by the media and literature about Islam and Muslims, while helping the community members of all religions and races. We live in the heart of Brooklyn and hope to perfect our characters throughout this whole process and help nurture the environment through tons of community service, fundraising events, and by planting the seeds of Islam along the way.

Application Process Application Process Interview Meet w/one of DOM leaders 2nd Round Students MUST bring updated resume Dress business casually Come on selected time to the designated spot Send out acceptance / rejection letters • Step 1: Applying Members • Submit Application • Submit Short Answer Questions • Step 2: Interview 2nd Round • Interview • Bring Resume • Send out Acceptance Letters • Step 3: Accepted Members • Fill out forms • Take ID card picture • Measure size for shirt • Questionnaire • Receive 10 hours of training and then training completion certificate Forms for Accepted Students • Member Consent Form • Social Events Consent Form • Emergency Contact • Rules and Policies Agreement • Meeting Requirements • Get workshop hours completed and training certificate for 10 hours

Planting Da’wah Training • Applicants of ALL departments need at least 10 hours of training (in which they will receive community service hours) • In the end, trainees will receive a certificate of completion, which would guarantee them a spot in that department unless they violate any DOM rules and policies • Training Hours Include • Email Formatting • Letter Formatting • Advertising Techniques and Skills • Public Speaking Skills • Fundraising Skills • Forms and Documents Skills • Plant Life • How to Plant • Planters Journal • Garbage Disposal • Beach Clean-Ups • Most Workshops DOM Leaders will hold • MUST complete all assignments

Test • Click Compose • Send all team members a test email with the new professional look. • Answer the three questions in complete sentences in your email, and then send it to everyone: • What's your favorite color? • What's your favorite place to go and shop? Why? • What qualities do you prefer in a friend? • Nice job! • Make sure to add all the team members in your contacts. • Make sure to add contactdom@gmail.com as well.

  10. We Are Going Professional! 3rd – Before Meeting 4th – During Meeting Present according to the time limit you have set. Participate in all meetings. Come at least 10 minutes prior to the meeting for preparation and set up of session whether it is live or online. Group leader(s) must come in with all materials and prepared presentation on power point via gmail, jupitergrades, or a flash drive. Online Sessions ONLY: Group leader(s) must send out an email at least 15 minutes before the actual meting time with the presentation, documents, and materials needed to complete the meeting as attachments to the email. Even though you will send me the copy before the meeting, you MUST send all team members an extra copy via email in case they can’t access ecomuslims.weebly.com. • For regular group or department meetings, the group leader must send email at least 3 days prior to the actual meeting. • For emergency meetings, the group leader must send email at least 2 day prior to the actual meeting. • The group leader must have the presentation and documents prepared for all team members part of the meeting. • If a team member may not be able to attend, they MUST respond to the email within 1 day prior to the meeting date or else it will be an unexcused absence and the membership will be put into questioning. • Online Sessions ONLY: Group leader(s) must send me a copy before the actual meeting so I may put it up on the website ecomuslims.weebly.com so that all team members may have access to the meeting materials.

Logo Facts • Logo will always be on documents, presentations (like this one), and in email sent out to subscribers, and mail letters. • Logo will be on ID’s, shirts, folders, and pens (once we start ordering them) • Ecomuslims.weebly.com will be used for members, DOM leaders, and deparment members ONLY • Planting Da’wah will have its own website that fans, subscribers, viewers, donators, and regular people can visit!

  16. Assigned Tasks Pre-Proposal Packet NOTE: Volunteer Department This is the objective of our group: to spread da’wah through community service. Choose locations, quality goods, cheap prices, forms and documents people will have to fill, cameras to use to take pictures with, the type of shirt that we will be getting printed for all group members and leaders for the volunteer club, parks to go to, how we will go, etc. You have to explain all of this to our group and to new applicants Send out an email after you finish the proposal idea searching for nominees • Each department has to do one • Both leaders in the department have to sign it at the end and hand that packet it whenever we meet in live next time • It’s pretty self-explanatory • 15 -20 mint presentation • 1 ½ pg to 3 pg max documented proposal • Send to me via email so I may put them up on the website • Fundraising Group: DO NOT DO PACKET • Social Activities Group: Must decide on places to take group, transportations, venues, picnic areas, etc. as rewards • Volunteer Group: Decide on place, how to raise money to use equipment's there, who to contact, forms to fill out, nominate new applicants, inform people via email, interview them, go through the application process

Rules for the Summer • From June 14 – July 20, 2013 DOM leaders will meet on Weekends (sat + sun) • From July 21 – School Year Beginning DOM leaders will meet on varying weekdays in the evening, and on Saturday (MUST) [Sunday will not be a meeting day, maybe a volunteer day] • We should get started with the planting as soon as we can

Conclusion Due Dates Reminders Read Namaz and Quran Please forgive me if I upset, angered or hurt you at any point in this meeting, but what is true and correct is what we will have to be strict about USE THE OUTLINE AND SIGNATURE LINE! Remember me and my family in your duas sisters. • Proposal Packet – Due in 2 weeks after this meeting • Start using professional outlines and signature lines in your new DOM email address and documents • Start to share ideas with group and DOM leaders on the rules and policies of your department • There will be another workshop next meeting on writing letters and advertising
