  3. Rules 闭音节词如末尾只有一个辅音字母,须先双写这个辅音字母,再加er 以不发音的e结尾,直接加r 以辅音字母加y结尾的单词,把y变为i,再加er 一般词尾直接 加er 多音节词,直接在单词前面加more,如beautiful- more beautiful 不规则变化: good/well – better和 much/ many- more

  4. More excercises: Tom Yongxian Tom is ( tall ) than Yongxian. Yongxian is ( short ) than Tom. taller shorter

  5. Tom early / earlier Yongxian early Tom gets up _____ . But Yongxian gets up _____ than him. earlier

  6. Xiaoling Janet hard / harder Both Janet and Xiaoling study ______. But Xiaoling studies______ than Janet. hard harder

  8. 以辅音字母加y结尾的单词, 把y变为i,再加er:earlier 一般词尾直接 加er：smaller 闭音节词如末尾只有一个辅音字母,须先双写这个辅音字母,再加er:hotter/thinner 多音节词前加more：morebeautiful 以及一些不规则的变化：better 以不发音的e结尾直接加r:later
