  1. Measuring Consumption Systems Technical Training 2011

  2. Why counting the ENERGY? The thermal energy is measured in kcal (kWh or MWh) 1 kcal = is the energy necessary to raise up 1 °C temperature of 1 kg of water Because the ENERGY cost !!! If we want to bring 50 liters (50 kg) of water from 10 °C temperature to 40 °C, we have cp x G x Δt = 1 x 50 x 30 = 1500 kcal = 1,74 kWh It is equal to use one hour radiator of 1500 kcal/h, which is aproximately 0,15 € (for traditional GPL boiler)

  3. The Energy Box

  4. Energy Box : The concept Inlet Plant Outlet Fluid: water Use: Hot and Cold The heat Q used it is “counted” by the “heat gauge”

  5. Energy Box How to deliver the kit + The Energy Box module is supplied without flow meters and without liters gauges to avoid any theft in the jobsite. The box is in zinc metal with key lock. It is necessary to complete it with the DIRECT reading devices or with M-BUS net readers.

  6. Energy Box Components and operation The motorized 4 ways valves it is operated by a room thermostat. When the thermostat give the signal to open the valve, the water enter in the lodging and the calories meters quantify the energie consumption. The differential by-pass realize the pressure drops as a 4 ways valve completely opened. This in order to stabilize the flow conditions of the centralized plant. The Y filter it is fundamental for the circuit starting for the cleaning of the plant. Might be substituted by a balancing valve (optionl) Successively must be installed the energie meters and calories counters

  7. Energy Box Plant installation sample Single Lodging Energy Box Room Thermostat The heat used in each lodging it is “counted” from the calorie-meter

  8. Energy Box Plant installation sample It is possible to measure also the thermic energie provided to the boiler or other device.

  9. Energy Box The Range – Preassembled modules without manifolds

  10. Energy Box The Range - Preassembled modules with ¾” manifolds

  11. Energy Box The Range – Preassembled modules with 1” manifolds

  12. Energy Box Single Modules for heating/cooling and Hot Sanitary Water

  13. Energy Box Accessories for the pre-assembled modules The balancing valve (optional) must be fitted as Y filter substitution, for a correct tare of the plant.

  14. Compact Energy Box New Range with compact metal box (only 600 mm)

  15. Compact Energy Box New Range with compact metal box (only 600 mm)

  16. Energy First Box

  17. Energy First Box Under-boiler Kit complete with energie consumption module. Permits the flow distribution in every lodgings having the MIXING DIRECTLY IN BOX, with possible mixed plant with high/low temperature. The balancing valve (included) permits to regulate the flow of water/heat in each lodgings.

  22. Energy First Box Heating Underfloor Heating Circuits Sanitary Water • Distribution module for heating systems with low and high temperature. • Fixed point regulation for underfloor heating • Complete with consumption modules for heating and sanitary water • Complete with 2 ways DN25 Motorized Valve

  23. Energy Wall Cabinet for heating/cooling and hot/cold sanitary water measuring consumption with several users. The cabinets are available up to maximum 4 lodgings or maximum 6 lodgings. The cabinets can be installed built-in or off-track and wall mounted.

  24. ENERGY READING

  25. Reading Devices The reading consumption of heating (hot/cold water) and sanitary water (hot/cold water) can be done in two ways: Directly from the display (DIRECT READ) Sending the data to a central station (M-Bus NET)

  26. DIRECT Reading

  27. Accessories for the DIRECT READING The MID Directive • 2004/22/CE Directive of the European Parliament and 31 March 2004 Council related to the measuring instruments. • The directive foresee that the manufacturer accredit the counter gauge with a new mark: CE-M (totally different from CE mark). • The CE-M mark certify the quality, the precision, the conformity of the counter gauge and the minimum parameters that grant the constancy of the precision, etc… protecting the consumers and the commercial deals. • 2004/22/CE Directive from the European Parliament and 31 March 2004 council related to the measuring instruments. • In March of 2004 the European Parliament issued the directive 2004/22/CE (MID). • The directive is applied to the device and to system with measuring functions which are defined in the specific attachments, related to water gauges, gas gauges and volume conversion, active electric energy counters and measure transformers, heat gauges, continuous and dynamic flow measuring systems different from water, automatic weight measuring systems, taximeters, dimension measuring systems, exhaust gas measuring gauges. • The scope of the directive is to protect the final consumer which commercial transactions are connected to this instruments.

  28. Accessories for the DIRECT READING Direct reading energy device A-MAGNETIC: does not get dirty and keep the precision during the time (minimum duration 10 years). LITHIUM BATTERIES: non removable LCD DISPLAY with 8 digits and special characters

  29. Accessories for the DIRECT READING Direct reading energy device Main screen level Total volume (in m3) from the installation date Total energy values in MW/h Error code Instantaneous Power in kW Test of the display Instantaneous Flow in m3/h Date Reading values (calories and frigories) at certain date

  30. Accessories for the DIRECT READING Direct reading energy device Technical level Max Power in kW Difference of the Temperatures Max Flow in m3/h Functioning days from the tare day Inlet Temperature in °C Impulse Values per Liters Outlet Temperature in °C Serial Number There is a Third Level indicating the main statistics data (i.e. reading of the data of the last 15 months).
