What’s Next For CWIC?6-12 month timeframe • Obviously, add new Data Partners and datasets • What new capabilities and functionality would enhance CWIC? • Current Release • Clean up capabilities & auto-update from GCMD • Test data connector for each dataset • 3 instances (dev, test & prod) w/ criteria for migration & notification to relevant parties • Short-Term Development • Exception handling & status messages, handle timeouts • Decision on how to handle unsupported search attributes (ignore & insert comments? Throw exception?) • Return full metadata record in raw format or additional ISO/CSW elements • Multi-term query (CSW) • Revisit & implement nhWGISS Search Criteria (which Data Partners can support it?) • Partner-supported mapping file changes (web interface?)

What’s Next For CWIC? • Longer-term development • Result sorting (CSW) • Custom result sets • Spatial polygon search, additional coordinate systems & projections • Additional query protocols • OpenSearch • Additional CSW profiles • User validation & authentication • RSS & Atom Feeds • New datasets available • Software changes & new features for client developers
