National Conference • National Panhellenic Conference: • Founded by 10 sororities in 1901 • now has 26 members group • National Interfraternity Conference: • Founded by 26 fraternities in 1909 • Now has 63 members group • National Pan-Hellenic Council: • Founded by eight sororities and fraternities in 1930 • Created to support Black Fraternities and Sororities • In W&L: has 4 members group

History of Greek Life in W&L 1855: Phi Kappa Psi chapter established at W&L 1865: Kappa Alpha Order founded at W&L 1920s: Fraternities houses built at Red Square, Davidson Park & Lee Avenue 1985: Women joined W&L 1989: Kappa Kappa Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Chi Omega colonized on campus 1989: Fraternity Renaissance: W&L commitment to support fraternity system 2009: Alpha Delta Pi colonized as the 6th sorority
