  3. PQDD简介 • 1938年，当时的UMI公司（现更名为ProQuest Information and Learning）开始收集博士论文 • 我公司是美国的国家图书馆－国会图书馆指定的收藏全美国博硕士论文的分馆；也是加拿大国家图书馆指定的收藏全加拿大博硕士论文的机构 • PQDD数据库现已收录超过200万条记录，时间跨度：1861年至今 • 目前每年新增论文条目约55,000多篇 • 更新频率：周更新

  4. 2006年PQDD即将升级至新的检索平台! • 1.预计在2006年初升级PQDD检索平台，届时PQDD将更名为PQDT并使用与ABI、ARL等数据库相同的检索平台。 • 2.升级后的PQDT将可以与ABI、ARL等数据库完美的集成在一起，并具备ProQuest检索平台提供的众多功能。

  8. 登录数据库—选择不同语言的界面 选择不同语言的界面，包括英文、简、繁体中文

  9. 用户名和密码—有效的IP段内 IPAUTO 在有效的IP段内，登陆的用户名和密码是IPAUTO

  11. 选择数据库界面 点击“继续”，进入检索界面 查看某个数据库中的全部期刊篇名 选中将要检索的数据库前面的复选框

  25. 检索举例 • 检索哈佛大学关于藏文化研究的博士论文 • 具体步骤： 1、限定检索字段为摘要，输入需要检索的词语，Tibet*,通配符允许检索到同根单词，如Tibet 、Tibetan等。 2、通过And组合第二个检索字段为摘要，输入需要检索的词语culture。 3、通过选择学校，限定为Harvard University。 4、限定为“仅博士论文”。
