Project Background • Recommendations are categorized by the Five Es of Safe Routes to School Planning: • Engineering • Education • Encouragement • Enforcement • Evaluation • Provides recommendations to improve safety at 64 schools • Covers four school districts • Includes list of priority projects

Process and Outreach • Conduct field review at all 64 schools • Conducted student, staff, administration outreach • Develop draft project recommendations • Present draft recommendations to Technical Advisory Committee • Refine project recommendations • Develop list of priority projects using evaluation criteria • Equity • Mode Shift • Safety • Health • Cost Effectiveness • Project Readiness

Request • We respectfully request that the School Board adopt the Safe Routes to School Plan, or adopt a Resolution of Support for the Plan. • Showing support for the Plan is helpful when the City of Stockton seeks funding in the future, and does not commit the District to any financial obligation. • Thank you for your time and consideration!
