Tips for searching NEW SPIN • To learn about function and features of the new SPIN use SPIN Training Videos on the SPIN site. • Use “Category options” and “filters” to narrow the results. • Devote adequate time for browsing results. • Save your search criteria to reload and modify or search at a later date. • Use Saved Searches to create “Alerts” which automatically alert you to new opportunities.

Initial Steps in Apply to Federal Agencies • Data Universal Numbering System – DUNS • Tax ID • Systems Award Management (SAM) • NSF Fastlane • Grants.gov • Depending on agency you apply for through grants.gov you may need to be also registered with that organization • NOTE: These requirements may be necessary for any subawardees named in the proposal.
