Comments From The Field -Corn • Dewey- Variable conditions all around • Elliott- Late plant, early dent • Gifford- Earworms • Philo- Uneven populations, tip back, aphids, earworms • Fisher- A lot of June planted corn • Reilly- Lots of aphids • Galesville – Variable conditions, some healthy plants, some with poor lower areas, and some tip back • Royal- Some tip back, weak stalks, stalks with no ears seen, aphids, disease, small kernels, earworm • Thomasboro- Lodging, disease, lower population than expected. Very wide range of maturity. Some green snap. • Rossville- Aphids located in stressed areas in the fields. Fair amount of ear tip back. Mold growing on tips of ears. Many ear with worm damage on tips of ears.
