  3. Introduction • Owned by Mr. Muhammad Naeem • Workshop is in “Rawat” • “Rice Reprocessing Plant” at “Kamoki” established in 2002 • Most of the employees are from “Gojra” and they are mostly relatives of Top Level Management.

  4. History • Started in 1968 by Mr. Muhammad Naeem from Gordon College • No Brand name & low level Business • In 1986, it was shifted from “Rerhi” to a Proper Shop. • The reputation of business was gradually improved in Rawalpindi and Islamabad • In 1988, that business was labeled as “Savour Foods” by “Professor Arshad Ahmed”

  6. Savour Krispo • In 2008, Savour Krispo was started in The Branches situated in Blue Area & Cricket Stadium • In 2010, It was started in Gordon College Road Branch

  7. Vision “We want to be recognized as best quality food provider with low cost at international level.”

  13. Duty Charts: • Developed by Branch Manager • Contains Assignment of Duties on Daily Basis • Job Rotation & Transfer of employees is done on the basis of it

  15. Recruitment “Recruitment is the process of finding and attracting capable applicants for employment.” 

  16. Recruitment of Savour Foods • There is no proper recruitment procedure in Savour Foods. • Employees are selected only on the basis of reference.

  17. Eligibility Criteria: Basic Education: • Bachelor for Supervisors, & Managers • Bachelor in Commerce for Accountants • Matriculation for Waiters Experience: • For Mangers, at least 2 years Managing Experience is must • No experience is required for waiters & supervisors

  19. Selection “Selection means choosing a few from those who apply for the job.”

  20. Selection Procedure of Savour Foods • Menu is given to the candidates two days before the test. • Written test is taken about the menu items & their rates. • Passing candidates are interviewed. • After that, they are referred to on-job training. • If supervisor says “O.K” about candidate, the candidate is selected.

  22. Training “Acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of the teaching of vocational or practical skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies.”

  23. Training: • 7-10 days training before starting job • Training mostly relates with: • Cleanliness (Nail Cutting, Hair Cutting, Uniform etc.) • Punctuality • Customer Dealing • Performance Analysis • Job related performance data • Observation

  25. Salary Plan: • Basic Salary: • For Manager: 20, 000 • For Supervisor: 15, 000 • For Order Taker: 10, 000 • For Waiter: 7, 000 • 15%-25% annual increase in the salary

Future Plans (National) • To open a “Savour Foods” chain in Lahore, like Rawalpindi & Islamabad • Building has been constructed in “Shama” • Production Plant has been opened like Production Plant of Rawat • Inauguration is possible in November or December of this Year • After starting business in Lahore, they are committed to open branches in Faisalabad & Gujranwala

  29. Future plans (international) They want to start business in: • Middle East • Every Country where “Halal” Food is eaten

  30. Conclusion • Business flourished because employees are committed • Although policies are made by non-professionals, employees are still satisfied • Suggestion: “To hire Professionals with good competencies in order to expand business geographically”
