  2. Agenda • Form builder tab mapping tool • What is it? • When would you use it? • How do you use it? • Where can you download it?

What is the tab mapping tool? • If you have an existing single tab form that you want to reformat to a multi-tab form, you need to use this tool • Tool maps section and field IDs in the IQCare database so that the output display of a form in the IQCare web interface is multi-tabbed as per your re-formatting/configuration • The tool was provided with v3.4 when tabbed dynamic forms were introduced

  4. When should you use it? • If you have an existing form that you want to split up into smaller tabbed sections • You can use it at any time with any version 3.4 and above

  5. How do you go from this single tab format…? To a multi tab format? In V3.4 when tabs introduced, default tab name “Tab1” given.

  6. 1. Download and install the tool in a location on your local drive (IQCare Tab Mapping Tool.zip)2. Double click on the setup.exe file to install the tool

  7. Follow the installation steps.

  8. 2. Open IQCare Management, Manage Forms and un-publish the form(s) you want to reformat. (For this example only one form is unpublished but you can process more than one form at a time.)

  9. 3. Start the tool by clicking on the icon on the desktop or double click on the setup.exe Windows 7 Windows 8

  11. List of un-published forms List of existing tab names Sometimes duplicate names will be displayed – you can ignore them and select the first section name in the list only.

  12. TIP: a tab has sections assigned when all of the sections are displayed on the right side. Here Tab1 has all of the sections. 4. Enter new tab name(s) into the New Tab Name field and click the Add New Tab button. 5. Enter then all at once or after each tab has been mapped. TIP: You cannot enter/have more than 7 tab • In this example, all of the new tab names were entered at one time. • The names fill the Tab Name select list. • Note also Tab1, the original tab name still exists

  13. 6. Repeat for each tab: • Select the Tab Name from the list of new entries. • Highlight and move the first section name and click the Add>> button to move the section to the new tab. • Move all of the sections for the tab until complete. • Click the Mapping button to save

  14. Note that now the clinical status section is mapped to the Clinical Status tab. • You know that mapping is successful when: • The section is on the right side of the dialog. • When you click on Tab1, the section is no long associated with Tab 1

  15. 7. Open IQCare Management and publish the form.
