Biography • Polidoro da Caravaggio, despite his long name, had a somewhat short life (44 years). But within that life creating works such as Christ Carrying the Cross and Deposition of Christ. Caravaggio was assassinated by a couple workmen whilst he was in bed, the workmen eventually received the severe penalty of hanging, torn with pincers, and quartering.
