  1. Incident Information • 1830 hours, Sector Hampton Roads is notified of a fire onboard an unmanned container barge being towed by the Tug Alert • The tow has just passed the HRBT and is located in the Gulf Anchorage, still underway

  2. Incident Information • Weather is clear, with calm winds from the South at 5 to 10 mph • All local response agencies have been activated and a UC post has been established at Sector Hampton Roads

  3. Vessel Status • Tug Alert maintains control of the barge with a shorten tow cable. Tug will maintain a slow bell and await further instructions • Crew is safe, but cannot conduct any firefighting operations • An assist tug is following the tow • Several USCG and PD vessels on scene • Fireboats are en-route with MIRT members
