UMB FY 2011 Appropriations Sources and Uses of FundsTotal Dollars: $967.9 Million Sources of Funds Uses of Funds • Approximately 2/3 of UMB revenues are from research and clinical (patient) revenue and cannot be used to support State operations • Approximately 1/5 of UMB revenues are from State General Fund Appropriations • Approximately 10% of UMB revenues are from tuition and fees • The Administration/Plant Services category at 14.7% supports not only Instruction but also a huge Research component • Over half of the Campus expenditures are research driven Source: UMB FY 2011 Working Budget
