No one was able to eat sweets. This affects kids growth. This also happened in the Holocaust. A written letter from someone in the Warsaw ghetto that game in a returned food package.

4. HOME Hiding This relates to my book because If Ellen is found, the soldiers will take Ellen and she will go to Death camp. Also Annamarie would be heart broken. Many people were taken away from their family. The house in Amsterdam where Tina Strobos hid over 100 Jews in a specially constructed hiding place. Her house was raided eight times, but the Jews were never discovered. Netherlands, date uncertain. She also in a way had to refuse or tell the soldiers she wasn’t Jewish. Many people denied they were Jewish. This is a picture of a Jewish family

Also they spot Ellen and Annemarie the soldiers ask them questions just like they guarded trains in the Holocaust. This is a picture of jewish people loading a train and in the back there are soldiers watching them.

Many people that were Jewish had to wear these during the Holocaust. This is a necklace with the star of David on it.

Many children that were saved were later reunited with their parents during the Holocaust. A Jewish family that is reunited after the war.

9. HOME Resistance This relates to my book because the Johansens helped the Jewish families get shipped from Denmark to Sweden. This is how many people survived without getting killed. This is a picture of women celebrating their Jewish belief which was illegal.

10. HOME Exposition Setting: Copenhagen, Denmark Situation: Girls are walking home and get stopped by soldiers on the corner. Characters: The Johansens, Annemarie, Ellen, Kirsti, and Rosens This is a picture of a statue and buildings in Denmark

11. HOME Rising Action http://resources.ushmm.org/inquery/uia_doc.php/photos/21183?hr=null Sugar and other products were taken away. Jews that owned store were forced to close Ellen had to move in with the Johansens and act like part of the family.

12. HOME Climax Ellen goes to live with the Johansens and they go to stay with there Uncle Henrik. This is a picture of a Jewish Family.

13. HOME Falling Action Ellen is reunited with her parents. A family being reunited with each other.

14. HOME Resolution The Jews are shipped to Sweden and are saved. Refugees being shipped from Denmark to Sweden.
