  1. ENGLISH NEWSLETTER PRIMARY LEVEL 2011 • Our Newsletter shows our daily work, the commitment we have to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and our desire to learn English and discover the best of us. We wish to share our English and Science Work. • We deeply thank the work done by each one of you because it shows your interest in being a better person. • Goals are reached when they are well defined and truly completed with commitment and love.

  2. KID´S BOX Our children have learned and enjoyed the work done with Kid´s Box. The strategies used have been meaningful. Our kids enjoyed the songs, games, and interactive work done with the Classware and CD ROM. The interactive board is used with the program. This was a way in which children improved in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. LEARNING TO INTRODUCE THEMSELVES! FIRST GRADE HAS LOTS OF FUN! CD ROM: SONGS AND GAMES

  3. SPRING GAMES SPRING GAMES WERE CELEBRATED IN THE PRIMARY LEVEL DURING THE SECOND WEEK OF NOVEMBER. THE STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES WHICH THEY ENJOYED. THE CENTRAL THEME WAS BASED ON THE LIFE AND DEEDS OF OUR CARMELITE SAINT THERESE OF THE CHILD JESUS. THE PLAYS PRESENTED BY ALL THE GRADES IN THE PRIMARY LEVEL REINFORCED VALUES AND GOOD ACTIONS.

  4. GETTING READY FOR “FLYERS” STUDENTS IN FIFTH GRADE WORKED HARD TO REACH THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS. THEY PRACTICED LISTENING, SPEAKING, READING AND WRITING. CONVERSATION CLASS LISTENING ACTIVITY READING / WRITING

  5. DESCRIPTIONS THIRD GRADE WE LEARNED LOTS OF VOCABULARY WORDS AND USED THEM TO DESCRIBE THE PARTS OF OUR HOUSES. WE DECRIBED OUR BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS. GOOD DESCRIPTIONS DESCRIBING MY HOUSE PROUD OF OUR WORK!

  6. MOVERS EXAMINATION CERTIFICATES FROM CAMBRIDGE THE STUDENTS IN FOURTH GRADE OBTAINED THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN THE MOVERS CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATION AND ALL OF US FEEL PROUD OF THE EXCELLENT RESULTS! WE WISH TO THANK OUR DEAR PARENTS FOR YOUR TRUST.

  7. FLYERS EXAMINATION CERTIFICATES FROM CAMBRIDGE THE STUDENTS IN FIFTH GRADE OBTAINED THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN THE FLYERS CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATION AND ALL OF US FEEL PROUD OF THE EXCELLENT RESULTS! WE WISH TO THANK OUR DEAR PARENTS FOR TRUSTING US. PARENTS , TEACHERS AND YOUR CLASSMATES ARE PROUD OF YOU!

  8. FAMILY TREE Third grade students did their Family Trees and made their presentation in class. It was good to see the way they value their families and the love and care they experiment. This activity was a part of one of the units in Kid´s Box.

  9. STORY TELLERS ONE OF THE ACTIVITIES DURING THE SPRING GAMES WAS THE “STORY TELLERS”. THE STUDENTS IN FIFTH GRADE PARTICIPATED IN A CONTEST BECOMING STORY TELLERS. THE BEST GROUPS VISITED THE CLASSES OF THE LOWER GRADES AND THE KIDS ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH! “THE SELFISH GIANT”

  10. RESEARCH WORK FIFTH GRADE WE WORKED IN OUR GROUPS TO INVESTIGATE AND LEARN ABOUT NATURAL DISASTERS. SOME OF US PRESENTED A POWER POINT AND A GROUP MADE A “VOLCANO” A VOLCANO STORMS HOW TO ACT IN A NATURAL DISASTER

  11. ECOLOGICAL BRIGADE THE MEMBERS OF THE ECOLOGICAL BRIGADE RECEIVED A BADGE. OUR SCHOOL HAS HELPED PEOPLE AND NEED AS WELL AS THE ENVIRONMENT COLLECTING BOTTLE CAPS.

  12. SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS IN THE LAB IT´S FUN TO LEARN ABOUT THE AMAZING WORLD OF SCIENCE DOING OUR EXPERIMENTS IN THE LAB. WE FOLLOW THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD WORK ING TOGETHER TO DISCOVER NEW FACTS! SCIENTIFIC OCTOBER WAS FUN!

  13. ADVENT SEASON TIME OF JOY, PEACE AND LOVE! WE SING TO PRAISE OUR LORD! AFTER SHARING A YEAR TOGETHER AS A CARMELITE FAMILY, WE ARE PREPARING OURSELVES FOR THE COMING OF JESUS. SINGING AND SHARING CHRISTMAS CAROLS WITH OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES.
