This project aims to create an informative brochure and PowerPoint presentation for Compassion Ministries, targeting a diverse audience of potential volunteers, from elementary-aged individuals to senior adults. The brochure will serve as a tangible resource for distribution, while the PowerPoint presentation will aid in outreach efforts by the Executive Director and Volunteer Coordinator. Through interviews, document reviews, and collaboration with subject matter experts, the project's deliverables will effectively communicate the mission, volunteer requirements, and the impactful work done by Compassion Ministries.

Project Description/Scope • Create a brochure and PowerPoint for Compassion Ministries • Target Audience--potential volunteers, elementary aged to senior adult • Purpose of documents: • Brochure – available to hand out or mail to interested individuals/groups in the community • PowerPoint – available for SMEs (Executive Director and Volunteer Coordinator) to use when making presentations; available for viewing on a website (currently under construction)

Challenges • Design – creating two deliverables using appropriate style and images. • Production editing – added several editors in the final stages: novice volunteers and caseworkers • Copyediting – allot adequate time and find a stopping point! Item not on “hit list” • underestimated the number of images needed
