  11. Verwertung auf drei Wegen • Werkstoffliches Recycling • Altkunststoffe werden zu neuen Produkten umgeschmolzen (alle Nedvang Kunststoffe: PE, PP, Folie, PET, MK) • Rohstoffliche Verwertung • Einsatz von aufbereiteten Kunststoffabfällen als Reduktions-mittel in der Roheisenerzeugung (nicht für Nedvang-Material) • Energetische Verwertung • Nutzung des Energiegehalts der Kunststoffe zur Substitution von Primärenergieträgern (nur Sortierreste)

  12. Recovery in Three Ways Material Recycling Old plastic materials are melted down into new products Raw Material Recovery Use of processed plastic waste as a reduction agent in crude iron production Energy Recovery Use of the energy content from plastics as a substitute for primary energy sources 12

  13. Range of Services for Transparency • Specialized waste management company: dealer & broker • ISO Certificate 9001:2008 • Determining the annual mass flow for sales packaging from waste producers to the final recipients • Examining sorting plants by certified experts to ensure quality • Guaranteed legally-compliant and professional recycling and disposal 13

  14. market for recycling material Quality Management requirements definition of quality standards (DSD/DKR specifications) tested dispositions evaluated by stastical methods intake quality controll by mobile teams secondary raw material 10 qualities: PET, PE, PP, Films, Mixed Plastics, Tinplate, Alu, Beverage carton, Paper/Cardboard, Residues sorting heterogeneous plastic waste from the Dutch collection

  15. Recycling Requirements Nedvang • Acceptance and adaptation of DSD/DKR material specifications for the sorting output • Alignment and harmonisation of marketable material fractions according to the market standards • Nedvang (DSD) spezifications numbers: • PET 328-1 • Polyethylen 329 • Polypropylen 324 • Films 310 • Mixed Plastics 350-1 • Tinplate 410 • Aluminium 420 • Beverage cartons 510 • Paper/cardboard 550 • Residues • valid specifications available at Nedvang and DKR homepages

  16. Certification of Recyclers • Recyclers for all material streams have to be certified • Certificates were checked of independent experts licensed by the German Chamber of Commerce (IHK) • Requirement on behalf of Nedvang of certified final reprocessing in Europe • Requirement from the German authorities for the notification process – international shippment of waste
