CCTS Milestones Specific Aim 1. • Identify change agents, opinion leaders, and adopter categories • Identify existing and potential organizational and community resources • Identify translational research needs among stakeholders Specific Aim 2. • Develop an advisory board to guide the translational research process • Develop and pilot test tailored educational and media strategies • Ensure information exchange between the Houston Community Advisory Board and the EXPORT UTSPH Brownsville advisory board. Specific Aim 3 • Document implementation of proposed infrastructure • Document intermediate and long-term outcomes among advisory group partners • Document intermediate and long-term outcomes among Texas Medical Center and LRGV health professionals

CCTS Progress to Date • Submission of application for Gulf Coast Clinical Research Associates Program – CTSA National and Clinical Research Associates Pilot Program • Planning with opinion leaders and change agents in Spring Branch Independent School District • Community Outreach • Science Education • Health and Physical Education • Community Education Activities • Teacher trainings (Houston and LRGV with SEPA) • LRGV media campaign (with EXPORT)
