  5. Direct Quotation: • Using exact words from a source (author) to support your own argument.

  6. Book or Signed Article • “Encouraged by the government, tourism is one of the largest industries in Greece” (Arnold 45).

  7. Online Source (No Page Numbers) • “Hinduism and its mythology are a mixture, resulting from centuries of cross-cultural integration” (Naylor).

  8. Online Source (No Author or Page Numbers) • “He interviewed seven US presidents, co-hosted for a week with John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and featured future golf champion Tiger Woods at the age of two” (BBC News).

  9. Paraphrase: • Rewording or rephrasing a quotation from another source (author).

  10. Book (author mentioned in text) • Arnold states that tourism, encouraged by the government, is one of Greece's largest industries (45).

  11. Online Source (No Page Numbers) • According to Naylor, the mixture of Hinduism and its mythology is a result of cross-cultural integration. Author

  12. Summarize: • To make a general statement that explains the source’s (author’s) main idea/argument. • Using only key information using your own words.
