  1. Get a text book, and turn to page 864. On the Body Systems Illustration paper, draw and label the heart, lungs, and major blood vessels (veins and arteries). On the table on the back of the Body Systems Illustration paper, add the heart, lungs, and veins/arteries (if you don’t know their function, look them up in the Glossary) ATB

  7. Lung Structure • The alveoli are small balloon-like structures that are attached to the bronchioles. • At the alveoli, O2passes from the lungs into the blood, and CO2 passes from blood into the lungs (is exhaled).
