Purpose The purpose of the OSC is to provide its members opportunities to increase their understanding of the marine sciences. Through the study of marine biology, oceanography, and marine ecology (and their individual disciplines), member will be provided with a casual, insightful, and inspiring learning atmosphere. This organization shall actively and responsibly provide educational experiences, informational lectures, and career exploration opportunities for its members. It shall also be the goal of this organization to promote and encourage good fellowship among fellow members and additionally between students and their professors.
