Procedure to Save/Modify and Restore FL-USA 800 Phone books • Basic Steps • Log into FL-USA 800 system as manager • Save a copy of existing Phone Book to PC disc • Modify Phone Book as required with Excel • Restore Phone Book from the modified file on PC • Reboot FL-USA 800 System • Check the Phone Book for accurate update • Save new Configuration from RAM to ROM Page 2

  3. Log into FL-USA 800 system as manager • Browse to FL-USA 800 IP Address (http://##.##.##.##) • Enter: managerflusa • Verify you are in “manager” mode. • Verify Software Release Level is Version : H323-5.3.5.usa or later • Earlier software releases do not support this capability. Page 3

  4. Save a copy of existing Phone Book to disc • Select “PhoneBook Backup” and save this file to your PC. • Note: Remember what folder you have saved it to. Page 4

  5. Modify Phone Book as required with Excel • Open Excel • Open saved Phone Book file • Select all files *.* under file type • Bring in as delimited Windows (ANSI) • Save as: Text (tab delimited) (*.txt) Page 5

  9. Restore Phone Book from the modified file on your PC • Select drop down menu to “PhoneBook Restore” from PC disc file. • This procedure uploads the file from your PC to the FL-USA 800 • Select new phone book file for upload Page 9

  10. Restore Phone Book from the modified file on your PC • Select drop down to restore phone book from disc file. • Select new Phone Book file for upload Page 10

  11. Restore Phone Book from the modified file on your PC • Select drop down to restore phone book from disc file. • Select new Phone Book file for upload • Click “Loading” button to bring the new Phone Book into the FL-USA 800 System Page 11

  12. Reboot FL-USA 800 System • Reboot the System • When the system comes back up (30 seconds) verify the new phone book installed. Page 12

  13. Check the Phone Book for accurate update • Has the new Phone Book properly uploaded ? • This configuration is now held in RAM memory. • We must save to ROM to ensure it is permanently saved! Page 13

  14. Save new Configuration from RAM to ROM ! • Save the new System Configuration to ROM memory. • Note: This will ensure your new Phone Book changes will stay in the system if power is lost. Page 14
